Windsurfing in Andros
Andros is considered one of the best places in the world to train and learn how to windsurf. Some of the best windsurf world champions have trained in our waters. The island has a wind factor that is ideal for windsurfing and is considered heaven in Greece for windsurfers that visit. Lessons and windsurf rentals, are provided for beginners, Intermediate and advance students. Also, lessons and rental of S.U.P Stand Up Paddle Boards are available.

George Fragos grew up in Korthi of Andros Island, Greece. After the start of his training as a champion his success and wins were happening one after the other within Greece and internationally. In 1999 1st place in the Balkan youth championship, 7th place in the world youth championship in 2000, also was in the top 32 men in the 2001 world championship for windsurfing and this marked his start of a journey in the sport. In 2004 he was placed in the three men Olympic team aside the Olympic gold medalist Nikos Kaklamanakis. In 2006 he had developed his skills in a right matter he placed in the 12th in the European men championship, and 11th in the pre Olympics in Beijing 2008.
The most impressive is that this young athlete is 28 years old and has great opportunity for improvement. He gives great hope for Greece for international victory. His mission is to compete in the 2012 Olympics.
